Our Portfolio

The work we've done says more than words on our site ever can. A sample of some of our recent work can be found below. Click the title of any project to view the live website of that project.

Long and Tullier, Inc.

Long and Tullier, Inc. "Long and Tullier, Inc. is a professional, multiple-line field sales firm (Manufacturer’s Representative) whose core focus is selling parts and accessories to the Recreational Vehicle and Manufactured Housing Aftermarket Industry through two-step distribution. Successfully representing quality suppliers since 1972."

While designing Long and Tullier's website, we looked at the purpose of their site to come up with the design: a place to provide clear information to prospective clients. A simple design was a must, so we chose a "stack" layout with the header, followed by an horizontal navigation bar, and finally the content area. The navigation bar is large and clear, and an optional sidebar in the content provides access to more information on pages that need it. A custom PHP script handles randomized images on the "What We Offer" and manufacturer subpages.

Answers of the Soul

Answers of the Soul "Answers of the Soul was created for the greatest good for all. Let your soul search lead you down a beautiful path for your own self discovery. May your insights act as inspiration for others young and old, may your memories live forever in the written word. Take a journey down the road less traveled and submit a thoughtful essay to be published in a book by Answers of the Soul."

Answers of the Soul's design was envisioned by its creator before we were selected to carry out the work.  The site was to look like an old journal sitting on a desk, which would open when the user entered the site.  To accomplish this, we used a number of stock photos, modified to keep a consistent look among the otherwise unrelated images.  The entire site is powered by a custom-made PHP backend, including an administration area for the owners to manage user submissions.

DH Action Photo

Long and Tullier, Inc. "As a long time fan of MMA, I often found myself digging through the pages of martial arts publications looking for fight coverage whenever I found a magazine rack. As great as it was to see a few shots from fights I missed, I always found myself wanting to see more of the action since the handful of photos never seemed to do the fights justice. Of course print publications just don't have the space to show multiple events in great detail, so I then turned to the web hoping to see better event coverage, thinking page limitations don't apply to online media outlets. Unfortunately for me and probably many other MMA fans, I discovered the available online coverage wasn't that much better as there is still significant time and money involved for sites to edit photos and post galleries to the world wide web."

DH Action Photo had three important design goals: have a rough, grungy appearance; have a large content area; and have a menu that can fit any number of links.  The rough design caused us to choose a lot of grays as our base, as if parts of the site are made of stone and torn paper.  We chose a bright red as a highlight color to emphasize the sometimes-bloody nature of Mixed Martial Arts.  The menu is vertical to accomodate numerous links, as well as to allow the content to start near the top of the page.  Finally, gallery listing pages are handled by a PHP script, allowing Derek to add new galleries without having to go through the time-consuming task of rearranging items on the gallery page each time he adds to it.
